On May 7th. with my colleague Maru Maffuchi we saw a very similar picture as the one I am sharing now and decided we wanted to know more. Madrid was in lockdown, so we remotely interviewed more than 20 people that would help us understand the world of international surrogacy and how COVID-19 had upended it all. Yesterday in Argentina Clarín shared just a portion of our work. In just one, of the over 15 clinics of Kyiv, frontier closings left more than 70 babies, born through surrogacy separated from their intended parents and in a legal limbo.

We continue working and hope to have a full version soon. Thank you  and Luciana Toledo who joined the team and everyone at Clarin Video especially Iara Uhalde.
